I'm sure there will be plenty left to do by the time you return!

The horses are much too fat in their knee-high pasture. I can't seem to exercise them enough to counterbalance all the clover and wild oats.

Sounds great. doctor_k_ October 18 2004, 07:02:45 UTC
I love a good snakebite! Treating it, that is, not undergoing it. Hey, we could drive up to Northam, find out there's not enough antivenom there...

I have a bit of time in November when I was hoping to come visit. We're probably ballooning on Tuesday 16th - is that a good day to drop in , say mid-morning? I could lift moderately not very heavy things. For a bit. And I quite like dirt.

You say this like you think that would be the case. I'll try not to get snakebit.

I'll block out the 16th in my diary.

Geraldton didn't have enough last summer when I needed it. I used it all up on one patient. It wasn't enough for the first dose, let alone the second she was going to need, and then we had none in town for several days. Hospitals tend to get stocked by nurses and pharmacists, rather than toxicologists. They probably read the antivenom kit which claims one vial is adequate for the first dose, not realising that in fact the first dose needs to be 10 vials (for brown snake).

Northam is smaller than Geraldton. But much closer to Perth. And if you make it into hospital with your pressure bandage on, you'll be able to hang on for a few more hours to be transferred.

And you'd probably get tiger snakes down by your creek, browns up near the house/shed. And at least you're not in death adder or king brown territory...

All in favour say 'Aye'.

AYE!

Um. Not this weekend (rogaining or Pride Parade, depending on your location) but could come and lift heavy objects either of the next two Sundays.

I'm all in favour of dirt. And reasonably confident that the snakes will run away from my hefty clumping.

I'm also free both of the following two Sundays. We could make a plan? I take it you're rogaining rather than Pride Parading this weekend, so good luck!

And I'd love to borrow your "Jeremiah" tape at some point. My VCR has stopped recording and I shouldn't stay up until 1:30am on Thursdays!

Cool.

You pick a day and I'll bring some muscles, probably all of mine, all of wobowikkles' and maybe the BF's, depending on how desperately he damages himself over this weekend.

I'll bring Jeremiah too, so if we have a satisfactory day, we can all reward watch TV together. If not, I'll just leave it at your place and you can reward watch TV by yourself.
