Tree Planting Day

Jul 13, 2006 16:49

As previously advertised and despite hardly any rain (it's officially the driest winter on record so far):  Sunday 23 July.  All welcome!

The planting will be a piece of cake this year since the grass is gone, so I thought we might eat first and plant after lunch.

Arrive:  Aim for 11:30 for a 12 noon lunch.  That'll leave time for people who want to drive home in daylight to do so, but if you're in no hurry you're welcome to stay for the evening.

Bring:  Small hand shovels if you have them.  Gloves if you want to stay clean.  Old shoes/boots.  A change of clothes if you want a shower afterwards.  Children and dogs welcome.  (The new neighbours have a German Shepherd and a Great Dane puppy, so a little control in the dog department might be required.)

Don't bring:  Food or drink unless you have a craving for something unusual.  Fully catered!

Let me know if you need my address, directions or a bribe.  Hope to see you there!

Apologies to those of you who don't like hearing about non-local events, but I want non-LJ people to be able to see this.  Plus, you're invited!  Come visit!
