Perth Slashmas 2005
I came away from yesterday's Slashmas gathering with the most excellent, carefully-chosen present from the group via ascetic_hedony: Mag 7 on DVD (on its way) and a stainless steel colander, which I understand you can use for advanced food preparation techniques like draining pasta! The colander reminds me of the Sports Night episode in which Casey buys all those cheese graters.
Rant of the day went to emma_in_oz for her diatribe about the use of torture in SGA.
We watched hours of songvids, many provided by the exceptionally generous killabeez, and it was interesting to see how some could bring conversation to a halt and people scurrying in from other rooms. Two that were definitely in that category were Killa and T. Jonesy's Closer (ST:TOS) and Luminosity and Sisabet's Whatever (Angel). I now know Angel from Spike! I think.
Plans were made for a regular monthly get-together on the last Sunday of each month. bryseis? We hope to see you there sometime soon. Anybody else who happens to be visiting Perth? Consider yourself invited!
