It's Christmas!
My tree is up and lit, my Christmas displays are arranged and lit, where applicable, on table and dresser tops; only some odds and ends remain to be decorated. Yay! The radio is playing nonstop Christmas music on two different stations, and there is a music channel on our digital cable that also plays nonstop Christmas music. I have started watching all my many videotapes of Christmas movies and specials, and have a whole shelf of Christmas books to start reading. I made Matt promise not to say anything Grinch-ey about my Christmas obsessions, and got him to help me put up the tree and watch a couple of Christmas specials with me. He claims that because he is not forced to work retail for the holiday season, he is in a much better mood toward Christmas. We'll see if that continues after a few more weeks of the Christmas music channel.
