"normalize" <-- Stage four of the stages of equality in popular culture. (I'm really glad I took that class, although I have forgotten most of the specifics.. I recall that there are four stages that minority groups go through regarding popular culture's attitude on them before any political headway is made)
I think the first is invisibility
The second is negativity/ignorance
The third is ridicule
The forth is normalizing
I think. If not those exact words, those were the words I got out of the lesson.
This article makes me feel 'normalcy' is being depicted. this is a GOOD SIGN in my book.
