Packing thoughts

I’m packing for Falcon Ridge.

Cleaning out and loading up the car.

Still here day after day, sometimes realizing myself.

In Alfred, Ben Howard the English Professor taught meditation classes. When I reach the quiet spaces in my mind, I can still see him sitting across from me on the floor, I can hear him speaking on being in the moment.

I wonder if we are all so numb to the world because it can be so monotonous; or if the monotony is rooted in the fact that few of us are truly at the wheel.

Today I was asked to come up with 5 quantifiable factors about my position at work that would be the basis of my bonus.

I want deeply to let her words run off my back, I want to waggle my tail feathers, wink at the sky, run across the water - beating my wings, and take flight.
