 It's been a while since I posted here, so I thought it was time for a general sort of update and also an admission: I actually emailed my parents today to ask them to buy me a little Prowl toy I saw when visiting them last weekend and have been fretting about not getting.

Hooray for getting past writer's block! And for little Prowl toys, lol. I'm not much of a toy collector, but I've got a few poking around here, and you can't have a Jazz without a Prowl! That just wouldn't do ^_~

Hee! Now I want a radio telescope TF character, most definitely :D So by "whopping great big piece of machinery under my control" do you mean you got to drive one of those beasties? ZOMG, if so, wheeee! *flaily*

Good luck with the gardening - I've got some teeny carrots and dill and beets and cucumber and "things I planted but didn't label" poking their leaves up, w00t!

Yup. I'm an astrophysicist (not as interesting as it sounds), so I get to play with big multi-million pound radio telescopes from time to time. In fact, the way it works, you use six of them at once, and combine the information so they act like one really, really big telescope. Hard work, but good fun, and the results are always interesting!

Good luck with your veggies too! I don't know what it's been like there, but we've had the driest spring on record where I live, so I think getting anything out of my planting efforts is going to rely on remembering to water the plants regularly rather than leaving the poor little things gasping.
