R's B'day Weekend
So of course, when we take leave, it pours cats and dogs which cancelled our trip to East Coast with the monster on Friday. It did however give me loads of time to finish making my lemon meringue pie & tarts and I cooked lunch; pasta with white wine sauce, bacon and prawns it went so well with the white wine that R got a lil tipsy. Managed to fit in a nap and headed to Dempsey to The Prime Society and we were not disappointed, service was 5 star, food was great, I'd highly recommend it, next time we go, someone has to order the beef ribs.
Saturday, the darling's birthday and he got to finally cut the Pie with a candle and everything. Here's a photo, I promised I would crop R's sleepy face off so we can go gaga over Stomper.
In the evening, we headed to Changi Village for seafood and the service this time round wasn't great but what can you do right? Headed back to Angela's place for yet another cake. That made it chocolate cake number 3!! We had b'day celebrations at my parents with chocolate cake the weekend before! It's sad when you reach a certain age and people don't even try to remember how old you are, they just put one singular candle. Sigh.
