[ A deep voice can be heard from the device, with the faint noise of buttons being pushed, quickly and roughly, as if the user had no idea on how to use and activate the communication device. Not like if he had any idea about the device purpose. Logical for someone like Rodrigo who comes from a time where technology is primitive compared to what can be found in that world. Hiding in the ruins of a building he saw little after he woke up, the old man tries to activate the device, as it is the only sensed thing he can do for now. He is not really impatient to visit such a terrible looking city; especially with no one to back him up in case he’d have to fight, not to mention that much to his displeasure, the Staff doesn’t appear to be working.
Fear, that’s the best word to describe what Rodrigo is feeling at the moment, but he won’t say this to anyone, and his facial expression remains confident as per usual. As he pushes another button on the device, the screen lights up, much to Rodrigo’s surprise. It activates the video mode, thus allowing others peoples to see his face, albeit he wears a hood. ]
What is this? Could it be another…?
[ Another artifact similar to the apple and the staff? Yet it doesn’t look shiny enough to be one. No, it probably is not one, but odds are that the same peoples who built the artifacts built that thing… Whatever, there is no time to speculate, the priority now is to find a way out of this city in order to go back to Rome. He’ll ask someone, anyone for help, can’t be picky in such a bad situation. When he speaks though, he doesn’t directly looks at the device, and looks all around, as if someone might be nearby and hear him. ]
If anyone hears me, please tell where I am and what is the way to go back to Rome?
