Scalpel skittered across the landing platform toward the waiting ramp of the Thanatos Class ship Kalis' Lament. He did not like leaving the sanctuary of his operating theater without a bulk as escort, but when the General pinged, one complied. If the doctor had been a little larger, the streets of New Kaon, if they could be called streets, would have posed a great hazard; but as it was he was small enough to go unnoticed. The trip without escort simply took longer; he expected to find the Leader of Team Chaar somewhat impatient.

He hurried up the ramp, six spindly legs clinking on the metal plating below. Scalpel saw Cyclonus was there: one of his favorite subjects. However, a cursory scan through his spectacles revealed this was not the injured party.

"Vere is ze patient?" Scalpel chirped. "Is it Blackout?" Scalpel rubbed his sharp, metal forelimbs together in a decidedly rapturous scissoring motion.

Scalpel noted that Cyclonus regarded him coolly, as he informed him he had no such luck. He stepped into Cyclonus' offered hands and allowed himself to be carried into the ship. As they moved through the broad interior corridors, Scalpel found himself wanting to view this dark warrior's source code again, but Cyclonus had not let him inside of late, not for some stellar cycles.

The patient was Spittor. General Strika spoke only to inform Scalpel of this and that they suspected the damage was from an Electron Disruptor Ray. Deep in Scalpel's own source code there was a prompt to reply that he was a medi-bot, not a physicist; but he had commented it out, before even meeting Cyclonus. If the General commanded him to tend to the patient, Scalpel would to tend to the patient.

Scalpel hopped from Cyclonus' hands into the shallow basin of cleansing solution Oil Slick had prepared, and from there, he climbed onto the bulk of the wounded walker. Something like an Electron Disruptor probably affected molecular bonds; there was not much Scalpel could do for that kind of damage, except perhaps replace a whole lot of parts. Whether that would work or not, Scalpel was all too happy to spend a few cycles removing Spittor's parts in showy attempt to fix the bot.

Scalpel snapped his pincers a few times, then got to work.
