Winterizing
Since it is probably one of the last warm days (70°F this afternoon), I put up the plastic over the screen porch and its door. Actually it was even warmer in there once the plastic was partially up and my glasses wanted to keep sliding down my nose. : )
Yesterday I pulled up all the dead and dying plants from all the boxes and planters and today they all went into the screen porch for the winter. I rolled in the fig tree and covered it up. I don't do anything special to the lilac bush in the pot by my front door and it has survived well so far.
That should pretty much be it as far as winterizing that I need to do.
