Finally woke up early enough on a Saturday to go to the farmers' market - got lots of good stuff including strawberries.
The garden is growing well although I really need to use some of the kale- there are hordes of it in several varieties. I see some green tomatoes too and lots of squash blossoms. The peas seem to be growing well as to the potatoes - at least they look very leafy and green.
I am finally finished up with all my doctor appointments for a while. I've had my physical exam and follow-up blood pressure visit, my mammogram with follow-up mammogram (can never just have one mammogram) and breast ultrasound, my screening colonoscopy, a vaginal ultrasound with follow-up biopsy and pap smear. My next appointments will be the follow-up mammogram in 6 months and a check-up with my primary care doctor in a year. Except for the blood pressure pills and allergy meds, everything else is fine.
We've been having a lot of rain this past week. One night I woke up briefly and thought that I heard the tornado sirens but I just went back to sleep (don't have a basement anyway) and the next morning, I found out that there was tornado damage a few miles southwest of me in Verona and also a few miles north of me in a Madison neighborhood.
