I just watched the premiere of Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire and honestly, I liked it. I actually laughed out loud, which television can rarely manage. Yes, most of the humor is scatological and demeans women, pagans, and homosexuals, but I'll be damned if it's not funny. I suppose now is the time to say that I firmly believe nothing is sacred, especially if you make it funny.
For those of you who haven't been drowned under the media blitz and blip of viral marketing, it's a fantasy sitcom on Comedy Central. The show seems to be loosely based upon The Legend of the Seeker television show, which is based upon the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It should be noted that I have a love-hate relationship with this series. The love part is when I read the first book during my freshman year of high school. The hate part is when I realized after 5 books that he writes the exact same goddamned plot.
Anyway, I'll list some of the better parts of the opening show and let you decide if it's worth your time:
Horse Draper, imprisoned for equine debauchery
"He passed the legend down to me orally...and anally."
An enormous codpiece made of foot-long black hair
A 300-man, 1-woman gangbang
"My Pagan goat pants"
Also, I did not receive the NSF Fellowship, whereas at least one person I know at another school did. I am more intelligent and more driven than this person. Writing's looking to be a better career every day.
