I don't give a fig
So what do I do with figs? Our neigbor has one that grows over our fence, and every day I've got lots of figs on the ground. Today came home from work and there were 257, I counted, and it filled the wastepaper basket. They got added to the 100+ from yesterday and that many from the day before that are in the garbage can, and it actually smells like they are fermenting in the garbage. The tree is still full of them, but by the time they hit the ground they are soft and mushy.
I guess I could always trim the branches back, another couple of weeks and they will be dropping figs into the pool. But I like the leafy branches and it provides a little shade.
