The Sun and The Moon (PG-13)
Written by ZB24
I ran away, clambering down the stairs and almost tripping. The air outside was fairly pleasant and I suppose you could call it "fair weather", but there were too many things on my mind for me to notice such seemingly trivial things.
The images of those two continued through my head, persistent. Tears streamed endlessly down my face; as much as I hated their damp presence, they were necessary.
I bumped into a group of young schoolgirls on their way home from school, almost tripped an elderly man... On any other day I would have apologized, but today I didn't care about anything other than my own trauma. I suppose it was selfish, but if were you in my position you would have done the same thing.
How could he do such a thing?!
I'd only ever respected his boundaries, I'd only ever loved him.
When he rejected the prospect of sex, I was calm. I understood and thought it was some deep underlying emotional problem he had. Because I loved him for more than his body, I put up with everything.
Now I realized he didn't really love me at all and rejected me because he was with someone else.
I found myself in that park, near the tree where we first first met and where our first kiss was, too. The sun was softly setting in the background sending beams of orange and yellow sunlight up into the tree.
I sensed a subtle metaphor was occurring in my life. The sunlight, and it's warmth, was slowly dwindling away.
I did not love him, anymore. This was the end.
I knew that I would be upset for an indefinite period of time, but I also knew that shortly after a sunset the moon would arise. The sun and moon are both illumination, just of different types.
I dried my tears with the back of my wrist and found a nearby bench. I was not sad, but hopeful.
And I watched the Moon rise, giving way to the softly illuminated night.

A/N: Apparently some of you missed my writing and that makes me very happy. (^_^) I wrote this for you guys tonight (since I '"took today off homework").
I wrote this in the vague "any pairing you want" style. It was originally Aoi and Ruki though, told from Aoi's POV.
Hope you liked it! Comment if you did!! (^_^) v <3
