Bridgerton Georgette Heyer meets Gosdip Girl
Bridgerton is a delightfully frothy Regency which takes worn out Regency Tropes and makes them new again. The addition of the overprotective brother, the gossip reading very clever Queen, the Mama who finds the very ladylike tiger inside to defend her cub were wonderful touches. The mixed cast was handled organically so that it showed how beautiful society could have been and could be but it did it with out shoving sanctimonious left wing politics down are throats. I highly recommend it with out recommending the book it is based on which was trite and repetitive and boring
