William Powell and Myrna Loy have always been one of my favorite Hollywood partnerships since I first saw them in THE THIN MAN and in the THE GREAT ZIEGFIELD They don't disappoint.
Wonderful and charming acting, up beat story about about a showman who's optimism and drive even in bad times helps him pull through. Great Music and wonderful show girl spectacles, you can really understand why Luise Rainer won the Academy Award for her performance. Black and White I bet it would have been stunning if could have been filmed in color. oh and it is very long over 3 hours. A delightful piece of Fluff. 4 Stars
