First Attempt in Baking Pineapple Tarts (Updated with recipe)

Thanks to Felicia Shifu. Here are the pineapple tarts done over the weekend. I must say its quite tiring to do pineapple tarts. I cannot imagine those folks who actually does this to sell! Imagine all the work you need to do. *faint*

Here is the recipe...it makes about 75 pieces.

Ingredients:
  • 250g butter
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 400g plain flour
  • 1 Egg (For Brushing/Glazing)
  • 600g Pineapple Paste
  • Yellow Coloring (Optional)

Steps:
  1.  Beat Butter, sugar and salt until creamy.
  2. Add egg and mix evenly
  3. Fold in the flour and mix into a dough
  4. Divid dough into 9g sizes. Pineapple paste into 7gm sizes (this I never follow. Just agaragar loh)
  5. Take one piece of dough,, roll into a ball, flatten with palm, place a pineapple ball in the center and wrap around to form a round ball.
  6. Shape  the round ball into your desired shape and put on baking tray.
  7. Preheat oven at 180 degrees.
  8. Mix egg yok with 2 drops of yellow coloring and brush on pastry.
  9. Bake each tray for about 20 mins or until light golden brown. Cool before serve
