It's been kind of nuts recently.
Last weekend i went home, because my sister was home, and because it was mother's day, and because Celia had coerced me into participating in Relay for Life. Relay for Life was really cool, even if my entire team (including team captain Celia) wussed out at 2 am and decided to stay inside in their sleeping bags instead of walking around the track some more. We learned that it gets pretty windy at night, and money invested in a good canopy is money well spent, as quite a few of our neighbors were forced to pack it up and go home after many failed attempts to keep their tents from blowing away. However, being up for 23 hours straight does have its drawbacks, and i'm afraid that i'm STILL tired from the event.
Anyway, back at western everyone here is preparing for Western's Relay for Life, which i did not know existed, but will probably participate in next year. I, however, have a huge electronics test on monday and another huge modern physics test on wednesday. Add to that that i have a japanese test tomorrow and a modern physics assignment due, and i've got a pretty busy week.
However it got a lot less busy after i dropped my math class today. I still feel weird about it, mostly because i've never really dropped a class before - not in highschool, and not here. Also because i HAD to drop it, there was just no way i was going to pass it and i could not force myself to care about it. I still wish i didn't have to do it, but on the plus side i have a lot less to worry about and i think i finish my finals on tuesday instead of thursday now.
Speaking of finals, monday June 11 (sound familiar?) starts our finals week, but since i'm staying up here for the summer, i'll probably have to stick around and transfer my stuff to my temporary on-campus housing where my roommate and i will be living until we move in to our real apartment june 30. I'm really looking forward to it, i think we will have a great time living up here and working, and hopefully everything will pan out and we will have a good year together.
Enough rambling now, i have to study grammar, kanji, and calculate some fermi speeds or something and then sleep. Stuff to do tomorrow!
