So yeah, i do still exist. I promise.
For those of you that haven't heard, it snowed in Bellingham, starting on sunday, the day i was supposed to come back. Conditions were bad, traffic was terrible (6 hours to go 6 miles?) above mt. Vernon or so, and so becky and i decided to come back on monday. A good decision, especially since classes were cancelled on monday anyway. So we left a little later in the day, around 10:00 or so, and the roads were pretty good, actually. A little slushy in places but mostly clear on the freeway UNTIL you get to the WWU exit, after which every road is ice. Bellingham has no equipment for road clearing, apparently, as the roads have been covered in ice for the last 3 days or so. Monday it snowed in Seattle, to the surprise of all people, but luckily i was already up here, and although we didn't see any snow here, temperatures dropped accordingly, and the ice remained. So, today classes were cancelled as well. All day it has been a balmy 16 degrees here, and is dropping (I saw a predicted low of 8), and so i really don't think those roads are going to get any clearer. Besides the fact that it's supposed to snow tomorrow as well, although that could be in the late afternoon.
So, combined with the fact that i got pretty sick the weekend before thanksgiving (100+ degree fevers, couldn't swallow, doctor gave me hydrocodone for throat pain...) I missed a test last monday for physics and have yet to take it. I've gone to math once in the last 2 weeks, and i haven't been to film study or japanese or physics at all. In fact, most of the rest of the quarter is out of whack, now, as i have a project supposedly due in film study tomorrow, a japanese quiz yesterday, and math homework due today. Anyway, we'll see how the syllabi change.
An interesting couple of weeks, to say the least.
Oh, and thanksgiving: didn't eat much, recovering from sickness and all, saw Casino Royale twice - it's good, hung out with patrick , who is dating southern cotton money royalty, and worked on melinda's anniversary present - ours is tomorrow.
