Outstanding. Why I stay up till 4:42am with my notebook open, pens scrawled across the table to listen to tunes on youtube is beyond me. There is something quite quaint about stealing time from the sandman.
My weekend was an eventful one.
I paid for overpriced movie tickets to catch XMEN First Class & The HANGOVER Part II. The titles are capitalized as such in respect of their ORSUMNEZZ.
I've always loved marvel movies (with the exception of maybe the hulk. He's too green he reminds me of the environment) but I didn't have high expectations of this one mainly cus I suspected this film was a desperate prequel of a movie franchise that ran out of sequels and hence going to be subpar as wolverine origins was. I guess I reached a hasty conclusion because I walked out of the cinema eating my words. I thought the alternative history card was played very well alongside the alternative reality the mutants existed in; I was jumping in my seat going "this rly happened, this rly happened...okay this did not happen". (other films in the alt reality genre I enjoyed recently are The Invention of Lying- well I enjoyed the idea explored but I thought the movie did so superficially and crumbled consequently, shame and Never Let Me Go)
The Hangover (Part 1) was an instant big hit with me, and so was the second movie. I don't understand why critics are flaming it for using the same plot and it being effectively the same movie. So what!! Haha it's a feel good comedy and it definitely earned more than a few laughs from me. I didn't care that it was the same story unfolding before my eyes- it was still effing hilarious. Go drop your load off somewhere else *spoiler joke LOLLL.
My beloved sister returned from Brisbane with presents for me.
I had a huge spat with my brother.
It was my first time testing out my holga and my film was ruined :( I knew it was a bad call (BUT NOT MINE) to expose the film to any light haha. ANY TIPS OUT THERE.
I watched the season finales of The Mentalist and Fringe. They were both some of the better season finales written imo! Pretty solid stuff with well thought out wtf cliffhangers and developments. I'm really interested to know how the writers of Fringe are going to resolve the new problems in season4! Can't wait.
A friend tirelessly wanted to break up with me- which got me thinking if any other friends would like to pull the plug on our friendships considering I will be miles away for three whole years. What's that you say? No? That's not how friendships work? Yeah well apparently some do. Whatever.
Nick and I shared an intense conversation about damaged souls and our disdain for one thing we wish we didn't fear. I'd give (almost) anything to return to the days when I could afford to be foolish and trusting and carefree again :) freefall~
Here's what I listen to at 5:24 in the morning:
