Hay guys. I'm just wondering... how many would be interested in Gin to Kin/Buraiden Gai scanlations? Or rather, how desperate would you be for them? >_O
I'm asking because my dad's going on a trip to Korea for about a month and offered to pick up anything I needed/wanted there. Of course, my first thought was MOAR FUKUMOTOMANGA OHGOD. While stuff like Kaiji is considerably more accessible here (i.e Kinokuniya, etc.) , it seems harder to find other fkmt series that people might be interested in, so I figured it'd be a good opportunity to get some of his more obscure stuff. After doing some searching, it seems like GtK, Gai, Kaiji, and Strongest Legend Kurosawa are the only ones that have been translated in Korea. I want to focus on GtK and Gai, but if people are interested in Kurosawa too, I can ask him to pick up a few volumes, maybe.
But yeah, like I mentioned, they'd all be in Korean, so if I did scanlations, they'd be twice removed/secondhand, so the translations might not be perfect. As far as I know, Korean/Japanese have some similarities in terms of lexicon, idioms, etc, but, you know, they're not the same. Would people still be interested in reading them anyway? And would people be interested in helping out (cleaning, editing, etc.) ?
I know Zawa zawa manga project was doing Buraiden Gai, but they haven't updated in... a long time. ;A;
Nothing is set in stone yet, but I thought I'd try to stir up a little interest anyway. Thanks!
translation,
gai,
