The awesomeness that is my life right now

 1. the most awesome thing.

Dremels. How could I not have realised how this is the most awesome tool in the world? All this time I have been struggling with making armour and knives and all sorts of things and all I needed was this amazingly useful tool :)

Ok, you might ask, what is so rocking about a Dremel? Equally likely you might ask what the hell is a Dremel? A Dremel is "a rotary hand held tool." You could then say "so what, it's a muther fucking drill retard!" But you'd be wrong!!! It's much smaller and has a lower power rating than a drill. So it makes much less noise, which is super useful as I can use it in my flat without pissing off my lovely lady :) Or the cats.

Now it is also so much more awesome than a drill because it has tons of different attachments such as:

A grinding blade, so I've been able to put a proper edge on my home made knive and remove most of the worst angle grinding marks.
A sanding attachment which has allowed me to polish said knife and remove various bits of rust from my armour.
And most importantly it has a cutting blade, like a mini-angle grinder, and will allow me to work on said armour to finally finish my gauntlets to a state I'm happy with.

And it makes almost zero noise.

2. second most awesome thing

Jenny and I want to make one of these. This puppy has a wing span of 7m. Every year for the last three years I've built a dragon of some sort for Beltane Fire Festival. This year I'd like to make a flying one :) The making part should be straight forward: aluminium struts and cotton canvas material (for fire proofing not as ideal flight material). Learning to fly a big kite like this could prove difficult and honestly it'll probably be 50/50 if it can actually be used at the event. especially if it is dodging the giant fire balls we are launching from the previously mentioned fire ball launchers. But still, giant flying dragon kite = Awesome.

3. Third most awesome

I'm in the second round of job interviews for a la de da job as "Account Manager" for a corporate company. It is almost exactly what I do at the moment, i.e. not very exciting, but will amount to an Awesome £5k pay increase. So that is more than acceptable. An extra £5000 a year that I don't currently need is a hell of a lot of Dremels and Dragon Kites!
