Great big fire shows and rain do not usually go well together. Fact. The Kirkcaldy show last weekend was no exception to the rule, it rained out the day before and it rained out on the day. We rehearsed in the rain the day before until 3 in the morning and we derigged post show in the rain until 3 in the morning again.
The show was good and I got to watch for once. There were three stages, two small side stages and one main stage and I was on one of the side stages and got to watch the main out the corner of my eye. The crowd was not the expected 15,000 but more like 1500 which considering that there was a nice warm beer tent a stones throw away was quite a turn out.
My jet pack worked a treat and I spread evil smelling smoke and confusion to my satisfaction.
Today I recoup and tomorrow I leave to spend a week in at the Buddhafields festival builing a giant Buddha.
Possibly getting upto rock and roll shananigans. I feel in the mood for having crazy fun and unlikely as that is at a chilled out buddist festival I'm hopeful.
