Ack! I enjoyed this so much! Please, tell me you are working on a followup of some sort and you're not just leaving the ending completely ambiguous like this! I really look forward to reading more of your work.

Dude! Yupedy doo dah, there will be another story… it’ll update the ’verse to S4 and I have a pretty strong plot. It’s actually a prompt from the SickDean community here on LJ: it seemed ideal for another story so I’m pretty excited about it [though not excited enough to actually be writing it like I should… instead am sitting here holding a wake for The Killing Moon, with a glass of red while I wait for Tom Morello on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concert].

So sit tight! The entire story will post on or about Feb 14 give or take, so I better get on with the damn thing! ;-)

Yay! \o/ I love how everything was wrapped up and yet totally not wrapped up at all, lol! I'm so happy that Dean is almost but not quite Dean again and his little tryst with the nurse made me LOL. And the bit with him and Kathleen was perfect; not too in-depth, but just enough to let you know that they both needed it. I will never be able to watch The Benders episode again and not think of Dean and Hudak as the OTP that never happened. *sigh*

Thank you for taking the time to write such an awesome and amazing story. I've already read Woods a few times and I'm sure this won't be the last time I read Moon. I gotta find something to do to keep me from going crazy waiting for the next installment.

And how you ended this really creeped me out. So Lee Bender's ghost is still out there? Wait. Don't answer that. I probably don't really want to know. ;D

Cackles… yup, Lee ‘lives’. It’s a little callout to the fact Missy cut off his hand in The Woods, so the skeleton Sam burned wasn’t complete ( ... )

"lithe nurses leaping up to straddle limp bodies and apply CPR while gurneys fly along hospital corridors to ORs where surgeons tie trendy bandanas over their great hair and operate along to Handel’s Water Music, and bleeders happen while anxious relatives watch from glass-enclosed balconies and it all ends with some short, squat nurse calling it, and everyone steps back from the operating table, and it’s all shot from above and they fade to black along to some cheesy Sarah McLachlan song ( ... )

So heartbreaking, the part where Sam's trying to decide if it would be worse to hold Dean's dying body or just find out about it weeks later, months later or never. Dean telling Bobby he'd have been proud and Bobby telling him he's always been proud. Dean telling Kathleen what he really wants out of life. But then you get the sponge bath and the pudding and the ability to spin one like Nixon and it's not all angst and misery. You balance things out so perfectly. I was sure Sam saw Missy in the mirror, but no. So not Lee in the root cellar? Or maybe part of him was elsewhere? Or maybe it was someone else entirely. If there's more coming at some point, I can't wait. If not. I enjoyed this immensely. Thanks for writing such an amazing story.

And because I always forget something: The line about Dean being like a shark. Having to keep moving forward or he'll sink into the black, bottomless depths of the ocean and die? So perfectly describes him. So kudos yet again for your amazing ability to turn a phrase.

Hey hon! It’s over! I’m part relieved and part bereft. I feel like I went out and left the gas on or something… strangely anxious.

I did give a lot of thought to Sam for this chapter… that would be his reality had Dean not come to find him, when you think about it: to find out his brother died alone and wasn’t identified. I really sympathize with Sam, actually, tho I’m a Wendeano. But yup: gotta get some light relief in there. Spongebath Nurse and Chocolate Jello Nurse are a little birthday gift to MasonDixon, who reviews me over on FF… and of course a little clue that Dean is definitely regaining his equilibrium!

The clue to Lee is in The Woods… Missy cut off his hand, so the skeleton Sam burned was incomplete. Artistic license, since his hand probably would have been eaten by something by now, but what the heck! :-D

There will be more! In the New Year, updating the verse to S4, and it’ll be quite a challenge to write the brothers’ fractured relationship… :-O

Thanks muchly, toots! I really appreciate you letting me know and I’m rapt you enjoyed the story! It’s great to think that something I write might give people an escape from RL for a short while at least! Hope to see you here again some time… there will be a new story in the ’verse in the New Year, set in S4 post-Hell.

Take care now! ;-)
