Nice surprise in the middle of the night (at least over here)....I´m a little out of order at this ungodly hour and I´m still reeling from your trouble, but I couldn´t go to bed without enjoying this chapter first. And I did enjoy it, although I was kinda whimpering at some point and wanting to hug everybody, including you - that´s the mood I´m still in and therefore (and because my brain is sleeping already)I´m only babbling without telling you something meaningful, I´m sorry, but I hope you get that I loved it as usual and for your information: it doesn´t matter at which point you end any chapter, for me it´s always a cliffhanger!!! Good night, my dear!
Don’t reel, hun. I’ve had some really great support here and over at FF where I also post. Still down about it all but more buoyed than I was earlier on today, that’s fer shure.
Actually took about 1,000 words off this and carried it over to C12 because this was pretty long otherwise… have been so distracted by all *that* I have got no work done on C12 today. Will have to really crack the whip if I’m to get it finished and polished to a fine sheen for next Sunday… :-O
Good morning, hun!!! Okay, so here are my "meaningful" words on this one *ahem*: Love your Gabe´s POV - his puzzlement is so real and Gabe is such a poppet, I wanna mother him.... Sam´s struggle how to handle Gabe and his eagerness are so understandable.... Kathleen is definitely my new best friend, she´s the one to rely on, asking the right questions, soothing if necessary and pushing if indicated - great, love her and the boys need her more than ever... Oh Kelley.... Oh Bobby...."he can die happy"....oh Bobby!!!
About next Sunday, hun, take your time, as I said before, writing should be fun and we´ll wait patiently as long as it takes!! Love, C.
Gosh, I´m getting old....half of my "meaningful" words got lost on the way from brain to keyboard....
"Lee ain´t gone," he wispers. "He´s just layin´low" - I´m a little afraid right now.... And Gabe feeling at peace at the mine...huh.... Oh Sam, don´t you dare leaving them behind, that´s so not good for them and for you....
Even I don't understand what the heck Sam is doing! Or thinking right now!! Going off on his own?! Leaving distraught psuedo-Dean without help?!?! Very bad move, Sammy. *pouts at her Sammy*
Poor Sammy… he is between a rock [Dean] and a hard place [Bobby] in this instance and having to think with his hunter’s head rather than his heart. Poor kid! He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t… can you imagine what Dean’s reaction would be if he found out Sam stayed with him instead of looking for Bobby? And what Bobby’s reaction would be if he found out Sam looked for him instead of getting Dean to safety? :-O
But don’t worry about Gabe!Dean. Hudak is about to start kicking ass in the next few chapters, and she will protect our boy… ;-)
Yay for kickass Kathleen. She is truly one of the best non Winchester/Singer characters I've seen expanded on. God, another amazing chapter. Gabe is a sweetie and Sam needs to understand what kind of position Dean/Gabe was in with that nutjob Lee. Hopefully Sam will get to Bobby, but I imagine that will be easier said than done. Can't wait for next time!
Gabe is a bit of a hunny isn’t he?! I imagine him as being like Dean would be if he’d had a mom, a normal life… no hunting… totally guileless and naive.
The Gabe we saw in Woods was just so shredded I couldn’t resist the opportunity to let him out again, relatively healthy [albeit damaged]. But he won’t be around for too long… it’s basically a dissociative fugue, which often happens to victims of trauma who are suddenly confronted with whoever/whatever hurt them. Fugue states like this often last just a few hours so Dean will be back soon… trouble is, the fuguee typically can’t remember a damn thing so he’s gonna get a heck of a shock when he finds out what’s been going on! :-)
And Hudak is really going to start kicking some ass soon! Turns out she doesn’t just have a way with words…
I am absolutely hooked on this. Kathleen is a really strong character...I love her to bits. Can't wait to see what you have lined up for her.
I have today off and I think I might just sit down and read all of the "The Woods" again and start over with "the killing moon". What a perfect way to spend a day.
Oh hun... you will find that Kathleen is most definitely capable of getting Gabe!Dean to behave. In fact, she's damned scary next chapter... *cackles*. It's about time she starts to kick ass.
