Dear Yuletide Writer, I’m very glad you matched with me this year. I really love participating in Yuletide and I hope you have as much fun as I do and feel free to see me on

ao3 for any unfiltered ramblings.
Likes: any and all AUs (would prefer no modern au's for historical canons unless requested), straight up smut if you choose to do so, 4+1 style fic, found/made families, canon divergent, anything to do with slowburn/miscommunication/mutual-pining shenanigans, etc for ship things. gen is always welcome.
Do Not Wants: cheating, A/B/O/knotting, non-con/rape, watersports, misogyny, character bashing, 1st/2nd POV (this one I’m flexible one, not a huge dealer breaker), pregnancy (acquiring a child, or a canon child being raised is fine but I’d prefer no baby-fic), incest, major character death (unless it's already canonical death but would generally prefer not).
Smut likes: light bondage (handcuffs, restraints made of material that should not be restraint, spanking), cunnilingus, leaving physical marks on each other in shows of possiveness, rough but tender sex, competency kink like stupidly turned on by something that's just them doing their thing, first time (they shouldn't be completely new, but they aren't completely caught aware so the other person tries to be as gentle as possible but their partner is so eager), eagerness to please + dirty talk, use (or misuse) of sex toys in different ways, femdom where the woman takes the lead/not fully a dominatrix, partially clothed/urgency that they throw convention to hell, sexual fantasies, touch starved/touch deprived/touch driven that they explore their partner like it's the only time, riding, and as always, UST that's been building up for a long time that comes out in sex pollen as long as no one feels violated/terrible afterward.
Hotel Artemis - Nice (Hotel Artemis), Waikiki | Sherman
The Quick and Dirty: A hospital run for criminals in dystopian Los Angeles run by the Nurse, Jean Thomas. It’s a bunch of attractive people attempting to murder each other.
Hotel Artemis had two things going for it for me: Sofia Boutella, and the insane John Wick vibes from the hotel that’s reserved for criminals only. I loved Nice and Waikiki, and I'd love any fic that has to do with their relationship to each other and their trajectories as an international assassin and a bank robber respectively. Any backstory fic for Nice would be awesome - how she moved from working stateside to internationally and taking bigger, more dangerous jobs like the Wolf King hit from some unnamed rich guy in Detroit. I would love anything that deals with why she does what she does/how good she is, and anything with her relationship with Waikiki that she was so mad that he stayed with his brother, Honolulu (Levi). The line with Nice fighting off the Wolf King's men in the hotel to buy Waiki and Nurse time was so thrilling, as was her 'don't cross my line' and I'd really like to know what is her line and how that arose. For Waikiki, I’d love anything that deals with how he's a very smart man with back up plans that he's a skilled bank robber and he could've gone bigger with Nice, but because of how much he loves Honolulu he chains himself down to look after him (because Honolulu's plans always go bad) and how in the end, he couldn’t help get him out of the mess they found themselves through the events of Hotel Artemis. If you want something to do directly after canon, I'd love to know if Nice and Waikiki met up as soon as they both get out of Los Angeles and where they go now that Wolf King and his son are dead.
In terms of a general prompt, I’d love anything that gets into the mythology of the Hotel and the characters that we got in the movie. Maybe this is the evolution of the Continental Hotel with hospitals called Hotel Artemis (you under no obligation to make a John Wick connection though if that's not your speed). I found it interesting how Nurse is the one who runs the Hotel but it was orchestrated by Niagara/The Wolf King who seems to have felt somewhat guilty for causing the death of Beau, despite the fact that his reason for killing him over a Porsche is bullsit. Anything that goes into why exactly The Wolf King had to create the Hotel (did he help push Los Angeles to it’s dystopian setting we see know, given that there was a riot over the water and the rich were sending their help to get their possessions out of the bank) and set Jean as the main attendant and how that probably lead to the rise of more assassins in this world. The technology shown was really cool such as Nice's cybernetic eye implant and any exploration of the technology in this world that’s available to all assassins they have to pull off jobs would be dope.
Ocean’s 8 - Nine Ball | Leslie, Debbie Ocean
The Quick and Dirty: Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean’s sister, gets out of prison after being made the fall guy for her ex who also seemed to take part in art fraud(?? idk the term) and gathers a group of women to go steal jewels on exhibit from the Met Gala during the Met Ball and maybe enact some revenge on her ex.
I loved everything about Ocean’s Eight. The Ocean’s franchise captivated me as a kid and I was like oh man I love this shit, except I wish there had more girls involved and then 17 years later, they did. Competent women stealing shit? Beautiful clothes? Heists??? Relevant to everything I love. My requests for yuletide as Nine Ball and Debbie, and I’m also cool if you wish to involve Ocean’s 11 characters too.
Nine Ball | Leslie - I absolutely adored Rihanna’s role in Ocean’s 8 as the best hacker Nine-Ball who even beat the Russians (no one’s better than the Russians!) that Lou was auditioning for the Met Gala job. I would love to see anything that’s pre-canon Nine Ball or post-canon. I’d also love anything to do with Nine Ball and Veronica, and how it seems to be that their parents aren’t in their picture but Veronica knew exactly what her sister was doing. Are they all a crime family? Do their parents leave them to do their own crime stuff while they do other jobs? Were they abandoned as children and thrown into the foster system/left to fend for themselves as orphans and turned to crime with Nine Ball looking out for her little sister? With her cut of the 16 million, she opened up a pool bar so I’d love to know what gets up to with it. Is it just a bar, or is it a haven for other hackers and thieves? I also love the fact that because Nine-Ball is played by Rihanna that clearly means that the singer turned actress-philanthropist-cosmetics brand Rihanna doesn’t exist in the Ocean’s universe so like does Nine-Ball make Rihanna her alter ego. Anything would be delightful! I ship most of the Ocean’s 8 girls with each other so if you want to go shippy, you’re free to do so!
Debbie Ocean - I love Debbie Ocean so much, partially because I love Sandra Bullock so much, partially because I love lady thieves more than most things. So I’d also be cool with pre-canon Debbie and like anything to do with her relationship with Danny (“Is the whole family like that?”) I feel like Debbie’s a little sister, but I’d love so much if it's actually older sister Debbie Ocean especially with the anecdote that Danny stole a watch from someone, and Debbie stole it from him. Anything about them growing up and whether or not they competed with each other for jobs, tried to one-up each other and just generally their dynamic through the years. Danny Ocean can’t be dead because I love him a lot but also ‘You better be dead’ implies that Danny Ocean pulls the death card semi-frequently that Debbie seems to be Over It, so I’d love any reunion fic where he shows up after she pulls her Met Gala job and Debbie throws a drink at him because he always pulls this shit. I ship Debbie/Lou hardcore, but I’m very open to any other Debbie ships like her/Tammy, and any of the other women.
Imposters - Richard Evans, Ezra Bloom, Julia “Jules” Langmore, Maddie Johnson
The quick and dirty: Maddie is a con-woman who works with Sally and Max as a con team and marries people and then takes them for all their worth. The beginning of Imposters is Maddie leaves Ezra, her latest mark and he teams up with Richard and Jules (previous marks) who work together once they realize that Maddie isn’t who she said she was and work to get back at her as Maddie’s Ex-Wives club. From there, they realize that Maddie, Sally and Max aren’t alone and are just one group of con artists who work for The Doctor, who’s a motherfucker and seems to blackmail people into stealing for him and stay stuck in the life. From clueless idiots to getting good at the thieving gig, I really like how Richard, Jules and Ezra formed a tight group, the ‘always forward, never back’ team and how much they cared for each other.
Imposters was my fave show I found out about in 2018 and I was so depressed that it got cancelled by Bravo. The Ex-Wives learning to grift to get back at Maddie and then finding out that they were good at it was so excellent. I don’t have much to say beyond I’d love to see the ramifications of Ezra, puppy eyes and somewhat bastard, taking up the mantle of the Doctor means; Lenny isn’t in the tagset but I’d love to see Lenny joining up with Ezra and Sofia. At the end the Ex-Wives split up but then Ezra decided to take up the position of The Doctor and presumably Jules and Richard went back to their regular lives. I’d love anything that’s Richard and Jules coming back together - maybe Poppy actually leaves her husband and takes in Richard and Jules is all ‘absolutely not’ or that the call of the grift is too strong. (This is unrelated as Lenny isn't in the tagset - but when Shelly said that Jules reminded him of his ex-wife, and how season 1 Lenny had that meeting with Jules at the bar/cooked dinner in her house, I'd love to see anything of like Lenny and Jules, either working together as grifters or entering some kind of relationship, I just think that dynamic is so good.) Anything that deals with how they react to Ezra being the Doctor (I’d envision they’d probably beat him up) or what kind of heists and hijinks they get up to.
As far Maddie, she finally got to leave the life that she had grown tired of and it looked like Patrick was arresting her but she looked to be okay. I'd love to see if maybe Sally busts her out of prison as they were always on each other's sides. I'd love to see anything about Maddie attempting to go on the straight and narrow but failing, being enlisted as part Patrick's task force to catch other con teams and whether or not Patrick and Maddie can make that relationship work.
The Edge Series - Rose Drayton, Audrey Callahan, Cerise Mar, Charlotte de Ney
The Quick and Dirty: An urban fantasy series of two worlds, the normal (called The Broken) and the magical (The Weird) that is a blend of alternate universe America and some fantasy elements. It's fucking dope.
Honestly I read these in a blur sometime last year and I loved them so much! Ilona Andrews never fail to disappoint me. I think if anything I’d love to see any interaction between these women considering that some of them are related by marriage and others are connected by the fact that they looked after the other’s younger siblings and I’d love to see how the Camarine-Mar clan is just an all-together giant family made by marriages of magically gifted/dangerous people. Ilona Andrews always make such dynamic women who bend the world they are in around them, and are always out for noble shit like justice and I love it. I’d just love to see anything you could do with these women. I read the Innkeepers series recently too so I know characters make a return in there that I don’t mind crossovers! I nominated their significant others too so I’m down if you just want to do shipfic as well.
Charlotte: The end of Steel’s edge made it so Charlotte was still healing, but I’d love to see anything with her as a blueblood and meeting up with Rose who’s recently introduced nobility while she is also aided by Declan’s family. Also her taking in Sophie made my heart swell so much as she understands what the other girl is going through of having abilities far larger than she can contain, so I’d love anything to do with their relationship, and being feared and coveted by others for their skillset.
Rose: I love Rose the most and I’d love to see how Rose adjusts to life of the Weird as a poor human to shooting up to nobility in the Weird. She’s also the closest thing that Jack and George have to a mom even though she's their big sister and I’d just love to see more of that relationship in the Weird - George wanted to be a spy so he can be respected by the people of the Weird and to see him and Jack grow up to become intergalactic spies and leave her is like they’re such brats! Rose was sad that they had just said a bye and then left and I'd just feel like Rose deserves to smack them for that. I’d love to know anything about the time in between,
Audrey: Audrey is great, I love how she tried to leave the life of weird crime and it dragged her back in. She became a Mirror agent with Kaldar for a bit! Does she stay? Does she live in the Weird or do they have a Weird-Broken in between place to keep a pulse on Weird business. She also traveled with Jack and George so I’d love anything that keeps the relationship she might have with them especially as George trains to be a Mirror agent.
Cerise: I love everything about Cerise, how she took over the head of her clan and while she and William live close to Rose and Declan, they’re also a universe unto themselves that throw themselves into the Weird. I absolutely love how Cerise joined William to be a Mirror Spy so I don’t mind anything with those two, maybe on a mission, or maybe one of their quiet days. Also anything to do with the babysitting switches Cerise and Rose do in immediately post-canon and maybe bringing Charlotte into it.
The Magicians (TV) - Alice Quinn, Margo Hanson, Julia Wicker
The Quick and Dirty: A bunch of grad students go to magic school and have to deal with being almost murdered by fantastical creatures, angry gods and really shitty prophecies.
I started hate-watching the Magicians and then it turned into an Actual Situation, so never start hate-watching anything. I should mention I’ve never read the books but if you have some details you’d like to add, you’re free to do so. Something I really like about the Magicians is how almost all of the main characters have some form of mental illness and it's frequently messy and it's painful and they still move through it - but also realizing the limit imposed on them from their various mental illness. I also love the various dynamics between the women - they've all got something to prove, their relationships are pretty fraught as they don't think themselves alike/they've all gone through different traumas, and also be the best Magicians.
Among my favorites is Alice Quinn, who’s a heroine but is also really tragic in the way her arc has gone. She means well but she also tries really hard to make decisions for other people thinking she knows best and how it’s backfired on her (she burned herself up to become a Niffin, and then being spared from the Library’s hostile takeover of magic but locked up) and I’d just love a piece that gets into proud, well-meaning, but really egotistical Alice to compensate that even though her family is full of talented magicians, she’s trying to make a name for herself and suffered the loss of her brother. I’d also love that the show went into the trauma she felt when she was restored to humanity after being a Niffin, with the implication that she’s always had a kind of deep-seated misanthropy so anything dealing with the time as Niffin and coming back (exactly how many enemies does she have?). As well, Alice too is a Queen of Fillory and I wonder what her history would be given that she did horrible things to other creatures while being Niffin - how does history remember her, if she even wants it to? Or maybe an AU where she and High King Margo take responsibility for dragging Fillorian politics into the 21st century. For Alice, I ship her with any of the girls (like Julia especially!) and also Penny and Quentin (but I ship Quentin and Elliot just fine too), but you don’t have to do ships for this.
Margo: I love how she and Eliot come from rural areas to the East Coast as talented magicians (I think she comes from New Jersey actually?) My favorite thing about Margo is how she’s brash and outspoken but loyal to the few she calls her friends, and that she sees people first as threats and befriends them to neutralize them (like how Julia had yelled at her in season 2 about not having friends but being feared and Margo telling her you have no one); you also saw that she wanted to be High King not just to rail against the patriarchal construction of the King system Fillory has but because she genuinely believes that she could do some good (the animals of Fillory love her! even though she's quick-tempered, she's really been growing into a queen and that whole angle where the Fairy Queen had some kind of respect for her.) If you wanted to do anything of Margo as King in an AU where they weren’t mindwiped, I’d be delighted to see that (also that time where Shadeless!Julia and Margo were burning down the forest, while undemocratic, was also very hot as a type of knight/lady dynamic of neutral-chaotic-evil). Before we learned that Janet is an alter-ego that the Librarians gave her post mindwipe, I had headcanoned Janet was her actual name and probably had come from a life of crime (she does a bank robbery in high school because of some serious issues, so naturally my first thought was Margo’s part of a crime family, but you can go wild there). I was into Margo and Ess's relationship and Margo and Eliot’s platonic relationship is excellent, but I ship her mostly with women.
Julia: I really like the fact that she’s the one who’s retained her magic and she’s probably going to return to godhood status once she gains her memories. I don't appreciate that the god(s) were assholes to Julia, but she's sacrificed so much for magic and she wants to help others with magic (like the stars she made for Josh at s3!) that she's been tested and granted the godly powers. Her relationship with Persephone/Our Lady Underground is interesting and I’d love to see anything that probably deals with Persephone trying to push her into remembering her memories so they can help save Fillory from the Library’s rule. I’d love to see anything about Julia, either canon compliant like in season 3 when the gods tried to make her detach so she can ascend to how she came back down to help Quentin to make the keys. I ship Julia with Kady hardcore, but her and Marina is good as it is a messy, complicated fraught ship as is Julia/any woman;I really liked Julia/Penny from the 23rd timeline; Julia & Quentin's platonic relationship is sweet and I'd love anything about them through the years, when Quentin is gone and Julia presumably remains immortal.
Mr. Sunshine - Eugene Choi, Go Ae Shin, Kim Hee Sung, Kudo Hina | Lee Yang Hwa
The Quick and Dirty: Noblewoman Go Ae Shin of Korea becomes a spy for her country to free it from colonial rule Japan. Along the way she's helped by a former Korean citizen made American citizen and soldier Eugene Choi, hotel owner Kudo Hina, swordsman Goo Dong Mae and nobleman Kim Hee Sung. Written by the same woman who made Goblin, the Great and Lonely God.
Historical korean dramas are a mistake and I never learn. I was honestly heartbroken but understood the ending of Mr. Sunshine, and how much these characters struck each other in such resonant ways that they impacted each other. Identity was such a big theme in Mr. Sunshine, from Hina who had adopted a Japanese name as her father had taken her Korean name from her, to Ae Shin being proud of her Korean identity that she foregoes her proper noblewoman place to be a rebel for Korea, to Eugene's identity as neither a Korean and neither an American, to Hee Sung trying to find his place at a crucial turning point of history that he chooses to open his newspaper and expose Japan's cruelties agains Korea. I just think that they had found each other at such a perfect time to create a rebel network that aids Korea as well as Ae Shin and they also grew to care for each other so much. Really, I'd love just anything where all my loves survived, a missing scene in between the canon where they can breathe easily for just a few minutes, and their dynamics with each other. I ship the OT5 deeply but I’m also into Dong Mae/Eugene/Kim Hee Sung and any variation within, Ae Shin/Hina, Eugene/Ae Shin, Dong Mae/Hina, Kim Hee Sung & Hina as a platonic pair.
