I am so there for the 27th. I'll have to dash over after work, so I might not get there until 8:30 or 9:00...that's okay?

If you can't make it, I'll forgive you. :P Besides, ice cream night was fun last time. Though that nice little restaurant that we went to afterwards is closed. :(

Excellent. Invite the twins too, whatever. We'll have a good time. It's probably very similar to the get-togethers you have and it'll be a chance to do some good-old-fashioned networking.

what's a technical writer?

France... wow. Okay, I can forgive you for not coming then. France is probably a lot more exciting than watching bad kungfu movies at my place. :)

A technical writer usually writes help manuals, technical specifications, engineering documents for software/equipment and all sorts of stuff. Basically, the job boils down to understanding and writing about technology.

It's really a very open ended job. In my last job, I wrote a few magazine articles as well as web pages.

I'll try to make it if I'm not too depressed or something heh but I'll probably skip the Boston Pizza if I do come, just cause there's nothing for me to eat there hehe (vegan, no-yeast diet, low sugar... it's a whole thing)

But I'll definitely try, I haven't seen you in ages!!! And we used to have some weird fun... sometime... in the past heh

Good for you on the crazy diet. God knows that I could never stick to it.

Make it if you can! If you want, you can bring your own vegan-low sugar, no-yeast food to share. I'm encouraging sharing.
