had an odd sight on the way somewhere today... was driving beside the airport/base here. and saw 6 chinook helicopters just hovering over the grass beside the road. they werent moving anywhere, just hovering not more than 10 feet off the ground. one was close enough, that if the windows didnt look like crap plastic left in the sun too long, i might had made out the pilot's face and everything.
other of note.. seems my area is getting all the storms so far this season,, which hasnt even started yet! on Beryl... Alberto was first, and just hovered off the coast a bit. hell not more than a week or two ago.
