so. how was the first week? not that bad. i think the most trouble ill have is trying to figure out just who is to do what and how i'm supposed to get that typed in straight. but currently, can't much do that anyway as obtaining account access is quite slow. in all reality, there's not much for me to do. seems the biggest troubles are with cheap printers malfunctioning.
actually, i think the biggest problem ill have is being sociable with a bunch of new people. O.-.O;
Fortunately, last week wasn't the norm. so, ill be home more actually. go in later, come home earlier, and even have time before heading off to class. hopefully therell be enough to keep me busy.
so yeah, the weekend... classwork... and yelling at my computer. gah! IT overload! might end up with my dead video card replaced for free. after doing a bit more troubleshooting to please the tech support, i neded up messing around and installing my older cards in sli. yeah, the same cards from my last trainwreck of a system. still work, and seem to be working well in sli. had to do a bit of rearranging to get them to fit. and because of that, i now had to yell obscenities at my system. apparently, switching my tv tuner card to a different slot made it so the drivers had to be installed again. Windows just up and installed some drivers it found, which would be ok, except it broke WMC. what do i mean by that? apparently, Windows Media Center is very finikey. it complained about my tuner being missing and it obviously wasnt. then it found it, but no longer could detect the ir hardware. a big gripe about WMC is that you cant do shit in the program without having some sort of compatible IR hardware. it just wont let you proceed. and compatible ir hardware? "Microsoft eHome IR Transceiver" is about the only thing it supports. so, you have to install special drivers that makes your device appear as such when installed. great. except i cant get it to do that *growls*. amusingly, i am able to control WMC with my Windows remote as its telling me that it cannot detect said remote.
ok rant over.
