(no subject)

Well lets see, I feel that this post may or may not be useful information to some people. As I have absolutely no idea who still reads this any more but hey what the hell right? So yes, since my last post ALOT has happened to me. Both personally, academically and socially. So let's start somewhere near my last entry.

About a week after the handing in of my module, I broke up with Jess. Now I know a lot of you know this already, or at least you should do. So yeah that weekend wasn't so great but I can't really say anything on the subject. If you think I'm a dick for doing so then you have every right too, what I did was horrible. I just felt that if I didn't love her any more I couldn't continue in the relationship and unfortunately that's how it turned out. I didn't want to string it out and have it turn out badly were both of us end not friends any more, because that would suck.

So yeah that week was somewhat of a daze, since I had to ignore it because I had a lot of other stuff going on in Uni at the time. I didn't have time to sit down and wallow in what had happened. All I could do was accept it did, I did it for reasons I felt were valid and that's that. Which makes it sound so trivial and let's face it, ending a 3 year relationship was never going to be easy. Ending a relationship is never easy and this is the one occasion where I had to be the bad guy. >.<

Moving on, because I don't want to dwell to much on the low ebb of my January, the Bristol Anime Club hosted it's first Cosplay Club Night. Which is a Anime, Game and Japanese music night at the Cavern Club under the Crown pub in St Nicks Market. Here is the flyer for it (Artwork by Sarah):

The night itself went fucking brilliantly. The event was held on a Thursday, and I decided to go to Propaganda the night before hand, so I woke up at Nick and Adam's “Pad”, stumbled out and met up with Homan to sort a cash float and grab some bits and bobs for the evening. After which I went home, got changed, had a poster design sent to my unsuccessfully (seriously stuff on the night never goes well.) and then headed to Bristol and then to the Crown. I talked to Gino, who owns the Crown and we set everything up downstairs and I got the rest of the club who where there for kick off to help set up the door, and a make shift poster while I made some last minute changes to the playlist.

We opened the doors at 9pm to let people down and it took a fair while to get everything in the swing of things. By around 11pm the place was packed and people were drinking and dancing and it was all fabulous. There are tons of photos from the event and they can be seen here:

The password is “pics”, that should allow you to browse everything without messing everything up.

I loved the night and I was on a complete high for most of it because there were no problems, no troubles caused and it all went smoothly. Tom Phillips also ran an article about the event which can be read here:

This is only half the update I wanted to post so expect another one soonish.
