The Crap I Say Be Listened to On This Friday of Goodness!
(Title thanks go to Tsukari for reminding me indirectly that today is Good Friday. Without him, two words and an exclamation point wouldn't have ever happened.)
Well, I did get that song to work out. Colin was the company in the case... he got a few versions over MSN, I think, including the prototype without bassline or drums or anything.
It has been much improved, as he could probably tell you, and I put it up on DA as an added bonus to go with the model for the Tornado 3. Click the Download button under the image to get to the MIDI.
I find it sad that the best Brass in MIDI is... default plain ol' Brass 1. Brass 2 is part of the expansion used by DirectMusic Producer (Link provided for anyone looking for a good MIDI thing, or even mixer if you feel like being very patient with it and having total control over everything) and sounds almost exactly the same. I took the MIDI compliant one to save file space, but now that I think I've figured out an Audiopath to export correctly to WAV (Anyone planning on using this for more than MIDIs can have it, just let me know where to send the bugger to), I may make an MP3 so everyone can hear it how I do. It will sound like I hear it in game for most everybody, though, conswidering they're updated on Direct X, as GM uses that for it's MIDI now. Which is good. Gets rid of ugly hiccups and improves sound quality, plus it allows me to turn reverb on for MIDI files, almost canceling any need for MP3 versions of many of these songs.
On a note more of you may get, I have a plan to get a tablet. Wee!

(Though in most cases, you'd not use the word "Darn" but something more befitting your individual personalities that is most likely a profanity. I'm bumping the profanity down, not adding more! ... In any case, I hope to stop by the bank and get my money in, in which case I will have neough in the bank for me tablet AND Acid (though afterwords I'll be teh dirt poor again, but I'm *ick* job hunting....), though I'm not sure if I really need Acid right away... though it may help Rift's theme out a bit... gah... But, in any case, tonight I'll probably be able to use mother to credit card me a tablet, as she'll have means of paying it off right away. I'm aiming for the batteryless thingy. It's not awfully big, but it comes with Elements and we don't have much space on this desk, anyways. Between it and the couch I almost have room to sit! For anyone interested/wanting to tell me if it's any good or not.
