PROFANITY!!!
MY computer just recieved the ultimate adware bomb last night, and the site that gave it to me seems to have just picked me out special or something.
As it stands, I've... hold on... *closes 8 more pop-ups* ... I've deleted at least two of the major things the crapper put on my computer... some Ceres thing and another doo-hickey.
I found an ad-ware scanner. All it did was compain about loopholes in .NET (which Microsoft uses to make sure people aren't sharing the files illegally, and deleting would cause DOOM) and a file that's part of MS Works. There was ONE THING that I didn't recognize - in the WINDOWS folder - but that doesn't explain the two or three windows per page I get yet, the porn ad last night, or the fact I had to close a bunch of ads when I got up this morning.
I'm getting very, very annoyed. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, because fighting ads does not appeal to me as a good spring break. e.e
