The power went out for several hours today, and also a big fire started nearby!! I've been watching and taking pictures of it throughout the night, it just keeps getting bigger and closer. :/ I mean there's not really much I can do aside from watch it and prepare to evacuate if I have to... it looks so intense with my eyes but all my photos are so blurry and indistinct.
First glimpse I saw of it! Telltale red glow like nuh uh, you better not
you BACK OFF!!

In the meantime, nothing to do but light candles and wait.
Really climbing up the hill. I took some of these from different angles and vantage points so they might seem kinda different, haha. From this one I went up to the top of the hill I live on to get a good look at the mountain on the other side.
Love the palm tree that got in this shot. CALIFORNIA
won't let a fire stop me from drawing my OLD MAN YAOI
Terrible shot since Gatsby was on my arm but it kinda looks like a crocodile doesn't it?

I eventually got a bigger candle which helped a lot with light, haha.
Breaking apart a little
Splitting into two lines! This kind of looks like an explosion from how the flames were rearing up.

The wind is still howling outside! Right now I can still see flames coming up every now and then from the fireline, it looks like a row of embers with lots of little fires from this distance. I can only imagine how huge they must be up close. :O Supposedly it shouldn't be spreading in my direction but I dunno... then another fire also started up nearby, hope that one stays put. :| Ugh!!
