Man I haven't felt this miserable in a while. I thought I was doing alright a day or two ago but I'm hitting a point where I want to curl up under my desk and not come out ever, which is a definite step down. Sort of teetering on the edge of randomly having tears rise up without any emotional connection responsible, but not quite there yet. Maybe

I'm so happy you're giving Mother 1 a chance. I've seen so many people say the game is "not good" because they couldn't handle old*sk00l RPGs and/or grinding and it frustrates me. It deserves as much love as Earthbound and Mother 3. ;;

That means I can start making commentary on the differences between Mato's version and EB0, WHOOOOOOOOOO. Especially when we get later in the game when I decided to start capping my progress. :o

"Redneck" is called "Wally" in EB0, hehe. I like Redneck. :P

I didn't know the zoo had a name! Instead of Cream Puff Zoo, it's just referred to as "City Zoo" in EB0.

Instead of "I'm starving," the kid in EB0 says something along the lines of, "How is your asthma? I'm doing mine okay, though car fumes set it off." There's enemies called Mad Cars and possessed trucks that show up later in the game that release fumes and render Ninten unable to do anything (even run!) unless he has an inhaler. They're not necessary to keep around though, especially once you get Loid (I'm forever attached to spelling his name this way, don't judge. <.<;;;;) into your party.

Fun Fact! Pippi is a clear homage to Pippi Longstocking, and it shows in little ways. You know how fast she levels up and how ridiculously strong she is? That's because Pippi is known as the "The Strongest Girl in the World" in the books. It also puts Pippi asking Ninten about her socks in a new light. :) (In EB0, it's changed to asking him if her hair needs styling. "You didn't have to answer, cutie." is her response no matter what) On top of that, her official name is Pippi Lindgren, named after Astrid Lindgren who wrote the Pippi Longstocking books.

Pippi may or may not used to be boss in a beta version, since she's got her own unused sprite.
