Anyway I stayed up too late coloring a thing so here are some comics WOO

I hear Alyx's voice a lot like Princess Bubblegum's in the Susan Strong episode of Adventure Time, feel free to go watch and compare. I'd link but eh episodes are hard to find a lot of the time.
ANYWAY WHAT HAPPENED TO GORDON'S FAMILY it's always kind of interesting to see how people handle it in various fic since it's not mentioned anywhere in game at any point. Sometimes his parents are already dead, sometimes they're still alive, sometimes JOHN FREEMAN IS AT HIS OFFICE TYPING AT A COMPUTER but no sometimes John actually does cameo in fic and I find it delightful every time, like this one, haha.
Either way I assume they're probably dead now though, if Gordon became a folk hero or a legend for what he did they probably got offed or investigated about where he went or something, idk RANDOM DARK DEPRESSING SCENARIOS GO HERE
maybe they are alive though, who could say :o he was in stasis for like ten to twenty years though, they'd be a bit older but man I bet they'd be super happy to find out their son was alive after all this time, aww. HAPPY ENDING

But with the constant calamities Gordon's gone through he probably hasn't had time to think much about it since he can't even find the time to SLEEP

Edgar in his dorky sweater again, this time Scriabin has a scarf though! A green scarf I actually own cause why not, sure. CHANGE UP THEIR WARDROBES A BIT, WHY NOT

IF YOU EVER WANTED TO SEE GORDON FREEMAN, MAGICAL GIRL WELL I HAVE GOT YOU COVERED there must be something wrong with me
I'm really not sure why or how this came about other than I thought it'd be funny and also shifting his HEV suit to a magical girl outfit would be a fun challenge. And it was! I tried to echo his suit in various ways, like for example the lambda gem on his chest, the hanging ribbons from that for the orange part on his HEV chestpiece, the arm ribbons for the armbands he has for whatever reason. His HEV gloves are actually in two pieces I SURE HAVE COMMITTED A LOT OF HIS STUPID SUIT TO MEMORY UGH but I smoothed them out into one here, although I did add orange gems on the back to mirror the orange bits on his gloves in HL1. The slanted ribbons on his stomach near the skirt are meant to mimic the bits of orange marking his hips in the HL2 suit, and the skirt is just a skirt, really. IT WAS TOUGH THINKING OF A COLOR SCHEME FOR IT it was solid white at first, then orange, then grey, then I went and split the difference. Bleh I am terrible at skirt folds.
All the more reminder that Gordon's general color-scheme tends towards Halloween-y. Pretty much all of this matches to the colors of his suit...generally.
Anyway he has thigh-highs because that's like a law for magical girls, but the ribbons around his knees are meant to be a callback to the break in his suit around his knees and also the dark upper part of his lower boot. Originally his arm ribbons had long tails like the ones on his knees but then I thought that'd be a bit excessive, I might put them back though if for some godforsaken reason I draw him like this again. HE IS NOT PLEASED WITH THE SITUATION
His headband isn't really based on anything, just sort of vaguely tiara-esque since it seemed appropriate. Also can't draw tiaras, whatever.
Weird pseudo-abstract background, whatever. Vaguely sparkly. I thought about what Alyx's outfit would be, but I like thinking of her in a sort of Tuxedo Mask-esque outfit as a contrast to his Sailor Moon, but I'd have to maybe look into Tuxedo Mask figures in magical girl stuff because all I can think of is... Tuxedo Mask. SURELY THERE ARE OTHERS THOUGH. But Alyx's jacket could already easily turn into a suit coat. I really need to stop thinking about this.
