One of the reasons I was so careful about avoiding spoilers for Mother 3 before I played it was because I remembered how incredibly powerful the battle with Giygas was for me when I first played EarthBound, and how that experience could have been ruined for me had I known about it ahead of time. I trusted Mother 3 to have a similarly intense final

I distinctly remember, the first time I played this, that I'd JUST calmed down a little after Lucas pulled the Needle, and the world was ending, and then it got to the Clay Men and I just lost it all over again. I dunno, something about them dying alone and forgotten, not even realising what was happening, punched me in the feelings. I just really love the Clay Men okay don't judge me.

and then claus reunited with his family and 16 melodies played and i'm pretty sure i cried for like an hour. god i love all of these games i have SO MANY FEELINGS about this series godddddd

Anyway, thanks so much for doing this! It's really meant a lot, and it's been really fun and interesting reading your analysis and theories on things. You got me into these games way back when and I'm really thankful for that. So... thanks again! :D

Man, back in 2007 you were, like... not happy. At least, for a few of those entries; I clicked on that link to the 2007 Mother 3 entry, then the Silver Chaos link, and was just clicking around going back a few. I mean, I know that was forever ago, and perhaps it's fitting with sad and depressing Mother 3, but holy crap! I'm so sorry, zar-from-like-6-years-ago D: (At most, I think I was only following your stuff occasionally then, so I missed that.)

But aww, all of that mother 3 art back then, too. Duster and Wes and everything else, hah.

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!!! Curse you, Mother 3! I just barely recollected my feels from something earlier today and now you hurt them! The look on Lucas's face battling his brother, then the horribly brief moment of maybe-he-does-remember, and then he DIES!!! Lucas has had more than enough heartbreak for a lifetime! Any more and he'll probably commit suicide himself. Oh, all the hugs I wanna give out!
