I don't know much about balding, either, truth be told. I know it can happen in different ways, and that hair loss can start at a REALLY EARLY AGE in some people. (Like, long time friend of my dad's who apparently started losing his hair in high school...I think he was basically bald by the time he got to college. He's been bald on top for as long as I've known him, at any rate.) That said, I actually do lean a bit more towards extreme widows peak/ oddly receding hairline, and for whatever reason he's just not losing hair that same way in the back.
And yeah, that's another reason cowboy shirt makes sense to me.
As if I could possibly criticize anyone for covering characters in scars. ^^;;
or obsessively looking for fanart of particular characters. like Juan. I was surprised by how much I was actually able to turn up on the Tumblarghs...and less surprised by how much of it was shippy pics of him and Matt. -_-;;

YEAH, SERIOUSLY. Granted, I haven't been paying attention to how recent a lot of it is, but still, I've been digging around on DA a lot, and nearly anything that has Juan in it is going to have Matt in it, and I want to say that a vast majority of it is shippy. (And some of it...not much, but some...is like...cutesy shippy, with blushing kisses and no indications that they are planning to murder each other, and those just weird me out.) But yeah, I can actually find pics on DA that were influenced by your stuff. (like one of Matt being tone deaf, hee.) AND IT MAKES ME A LITTLE SAD ON SOME LEVEL, BECAUSE IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY JUAN/CELESTE.
Ahahaha yeah, I KNOW ALL TOO WELL HOW THAT CAN HAPPEN WITH CRACK/JOKE PAIRINGS. Vriska/Tavros was that for me, and I even managed to spring that trap on myself with my OWN characters. (Sha was originally meant to be straight, dammit.)

And even if you don't ship them their relationship is sort of fascinating in its own way and fun to play with. i always pictured psychopro and ladyverseJuan instinctually disliking each other for that reason, since pro sort of looked like Matt and therefore i grabbed juan and tossed him in there as a counterpoint just for the heck of it and then he stuck around somehow

Yeah, I can't say I ship them myself (just cause most hatesex kinda squicks me too much, I dunno) but I DO acknowledge they have a fascinating relationship even if a strictly gen sense. (As for Veloxyll could tell you, as he's usually the one I end up spouting my latest theories to..."Matt's arguably the better actor, see, so he can keep up a sweet ditzy facade in public, thus making Juan, the one who can't keep his true feelings off of his face, look like a GIANT JERK and oooh how he hates the ENGARDE." Even played with the idea of having Pro having some kind of backstory grudge againt Juan that Juan himself had long ago forgotten about...like 'lost a part in a play to him...because it was a musical.' NO THAT MAKES SENSE TO ME Like Matt is one of those pretty boy actors who brings in a lot of young fans who love the whole eeeee BISHIE factor and the executives all latched onto that because he's the ideal FACE character (poor Will got shafted because of that; I bet Nickle Samurai has a lot more scenes with the characters in civilian form which the classic Steel Samurai didn't have), and of course he's a total Sociopath so he's really GOOD at faking a good public image. BUT WITH JUAN, WHAT YOU GET IS MORE OR LESS WHAT YOU SEE also his slightly more mature looks probably appealed to Oldbag...which I can totally respect, honestly me biased what are you talking about

My tastes in pairings DO tend to be fairly vanilla most of the time, though sometimes I'll just find myself shipping the more obscure or unpopular ones. (which is REALLY fun when it's for an already small fandom...) Gimli/Legolas comes to mind...though for that one, you could find some pretty decent fic for if you were willing to look. (and I'm not sure if it really counts as a crack pairing, either...)
Yeah, poor Will, didn't even show up in the little bit of the Steel Samurai trial we saw. (and yeah...as hard as it is to find Juan related fanwork, it's almost HARDER to find Jack stuff. I honestly have trouble deciding how I feel about him, though...on the one hand, he tried to frame Will, which just isn't cool. On the other hand, I'm not convinced that Dee was correct in assuming that he killed that one guy on purpose...her logic being that 'if it had really been an accident, why would he have succumbed to blackmail' sort of falls apart when you remember that we are in a world where accidentally killing someone or killing in SELF DEFENSE or killing while you aren't in control of your own body will still get you a murder sentence and/or destroy your reputation.)

Yeah, they are/were the same age...21. (Which just seems SO YOUNG TO ME now, just...pair of BABIES aaahhh.) I just assume he just always looked mature for his age, especially compared to Matt. Which...now I'm imagining teenage Juan constantly being mistaken for someone in his mid-twenties...

...Ok, so clearly I have a bias in terms of what kinds of couples I like. :B
I think I did read that one once. He and Will start dating on the side, and Jack starts to get ashamed over things like Will having to pick up the dinner tabs because Jack's salary is so small (and how Will just always so sweetly accepts it like DON'T YOU GET MAD ABOUT ANYTHING.)
Haha yeah, I can see both of those things. (I think it's the appeal of the blank-slate character? You have the barest of clues to go on, so you have more freedom to play.)
I also kinda like the idea of Will trying to be a supportive mentor to the younger actors, and mostly not being taken too seriously (though some of them do think he's good if you need a sympathetic ear.)
TEENAGE JUAN CHARMING ALL THE MATURE OLDER WOMEN you know they never do say how old Celeste was I keep wondering about that.
I...MAY have started doing some sketches along these lines. (along with some possible designs for CuredPro, because I am obsessed.) Pro just kinda slinging an arm over Juan's shoulder in a faux-friendly fashion, Juan getting annoyed and trying to shrug him off, belatedly noticing that Pro is casually holding a witch-claw knife right under his throat AAAAHHH YOU PSYCHO relax, learn to take a joke *whispers* If I ever killed you I'd want you to see it coming <3
(It is surprisingly fun to write creepy dialogue for Pro. This worries me on some level.)
