I CAUGHT THAT SHE WAS REWINDING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN BUT I DIDN'T READ CHERYL INTO THAT SCENE AT ALL :O

although dahlia did bear some resemblance to heather at points i never associated the two of them together necessarily PROBABLY BECAUSE I HAVE A DEEP VISCERAL REPULSION FOR INCEST AND THEREFORE REJECTED THE POSSIBILITY WHOLESALE AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY

ALSO that's the popular interpretation of who Dahlia is in SM, but I'd gone into it thinking more along your lines (except my punk Dahlia did not match the mom in the home movies)
