~Fun with Day of the Tentacle - Snubbed by a Horse

Mar 26, 2006 17:59

Another rollicking fun filled adventure awaits you! There are only around 200 for this one. I COULD have pushed it to 400 but eh, I might as well break it up.
Mostly me wandering around the Inn in this one and picking up items here and there. All of which will be important, in time!

That's weird! Maybe I made some typos? I'll go back and check it out later.

I GOT DOSBOX TO WORK SWEET MOTHER OF A SKUNK THERE IS A GOD AND HE LIKES ME TODAY.

Now that I have all those capital letters outta the way, the maid totally busted my butt for trying to make off into the night (day?) with her soap. And I was like, grmf, stingy maid lady, but I can't hate her cause of that accent.

Also I am having some loss issues with that dime from the payphone, it's filling me with hopelessness, but not so much so that I didn't leave my house for a frappichino thing. Speaking of which, I dunno what's up with the coffee but I bet it's important.

That, and I was like, "yeah George, your MOM is a cherry tree."

WOOHOO

Heh, did you mess up the bed first? Cause otherwise I don't think ya have enough time ta run off with the soap. Her accent is great. ARgh I love this game.

Hehe, the coffee is important! Both the decaf and original. Nurse Edna knows a bit more, and the second dime is on the floor of the the first room, but ya need something to pry it up.

I was like "I bet you couldn't chop down a tree to save yer grandmother!"

I totally missed the left-handed hammer! Also, all of this sending things through time is confusing, because I didn't expect random objects from other times to be a big help. I don't get the weird puzzle game logic, (use all the items you have with everything you can interact with, just in case one of them does something) I guess.

I missed it the first time I went through this too! It's easy to overlook. There are a bunch of items like that in these games.

The time thing can be kind of disorienting, but I got used to it pretty quickly. Heh, I don't even question weird game puzzle logic anymore, I've been playing games that do that as far back as I can remember. Always a "try this item with everything, then if nothing works, try it with everything in yer inventory". But really, when ya think about it most of the puzzles make a weird kind of wacky sense. Hehe.

Hahaha, the bundle of sticks and not naming the country thing is gold. Where is that line from?

I'm not sure! It cracked me up. Maybe if you come back and bug Betsy some more you can say that.
