because someone up there didn't knwo what they were talking about i came out of hiding to impart my knowledge of MIND ALTERING SUBSTANCES.

absinthe is a liquor, originated mostly in france. by itself, it's just very very strong. usually bright NEON green, and has a licorice taste to it. i've had it. however, 'true' absinthe also has essence of wormwood in it. that's where the bad rap comes from.

see, wormwood, like achewood, is not a good plant to put into your system. wormwood extract can cause minor hallucinations (glows around stuff, etc) which is why it became a totally popular thing for the 'in' french culture. of course people also became addicted to it and so there's all sorts of ancient propaganda about absinthe addicts.

wormwood's danger is that like achewood in frequent doses it causes the user to go nuts. so if people drink enough absinthe, they start going crazy as the toxins build up in their brain. achewood is more vicious because it actually i think prema-blocks your ability to create seratonin gradually and so on top of going insane achewood water also can make you PERMANANTLY DEPRESSED. either way.

absinthe is actually illegal + wormwood in the states, but i don't know how recent that law is. you can buy wormwood seperately and add it yourself, although it's apparently extremely bitter with the wormwood and so i think you're supposed to add sugar or something. i'm not sure if it's legal or illegal in japan to include the wormwood, i didn't drink enough to tell. but it is EXTREMELY strong, in both potancy and flavour.

since it's supposed to be an old house and absinthe was the 'artist' drink for a long time, i'm not surprised it's there. it's not really an inconsistancy.

wormwood itself is considered to be a kinda satanic plant, i think. wait no i know this, thank you calvin and hobbes. in dante (i think) the devil's assistant is named wormwood.

also the other person was right those bottles do have the corona logo on them which is like some kind of odd gryphon. but ew light beer.

also the faces don's actor makes are hilarious b-quality.
