What a week, what a week, what a week.

This has been the week from hell.

1) Bought a new 120 gig HDD. Yay me. Cheap drive too. Yay.
2) Backed up important stuff to the new drive, formatted the old drive to install XP with SP1 slipstreamed.
3) Install goes well, got into the Earth and Beyond Beta. Yay. Download the 1 gig file and install.
4) WTF? Crash to desktop everytime I Load? Change video drivers, same thing, with same results. Well, I only did a quick format, maybe that's the problem.
5) REpeat above process, with full format on the old drive.
6) Reinstall game....same problem. Talk online and find out that maybe SP1 is causing this.
7) Repeat process again, this time using original XP disks.
8) Reinstall game, no drivers, no nothing. Game works....about 1/3-1/2 of the time. Crashes on zoning. Crashes on loading. Update drivers. Same issue as before. Getting stop errors related to the video card and sound card. 6 different video drivers. 2 different sound drivers. Nothing. Worse now, and games that worked before the initial format now....don't.
9) Remember that I did this format quick, so.....format again, full format. Plan now is to install the game before any drivers or update, and test after each change, adding a game to the list each time, and doing numerous restore points.

*SigH* I hate life sometimes. Oh, and now on Vicodin for the back pain from the bus wreck. Nothing wrong with my spine though.
