wasting time
Had fun tonight... went to Zaxby's with my parents and DH, saw War of the Worlds (very freaky!), and went to Bruster's. (Although I had no icecream- was full from Zaxby's!) I got my birthday present- a sewing machine! YAY! I can make those four or five things I've been dreaming of making. After I figure out how to work it... and put it somewhere. Hmm... maybe that drafting table that's been collecting piles of stuff in the office.
DH is running through his set. He's singing at a thing tomorrow. I swear! (I swear quietly since there are his family around.) I'm ready for bed except that the teenage brother is hanging out in his room- for which I don't blame him since we took over this weekend.
I have a challenge. My mom is turning 50 next weekend. And there is no party planned (she's not really a party-gal). What should I get her or do? I'm at a loss. I thought about coming up with a giftbasket of 50 things. She wants to go on a trip with me. I'll have to get DH to approve that though since it'd be costly.
