Vacation in Virginia
so whats new with me? soooo much.. lets start with my trip to Virginia
-went down to VA with Zach the saturday after classes got out. Left at 7am. Zach drove and i got to annoy him the whole way down. We had so much fun! lol can i just say that we passed a sign that said "licking creek" those crazy southerners. so we got in at like 7pm. I met his mom and dad and i adore them, when i saw his mom I was like awww she looks like a mom! lol. And his dad was just like.. in your face nice. They brought us home chick-fil-a which for those of us from the north its a chicken fast food thingy which zach loves. And ill admit it was good. We just sat and watched the sabres game which made me feel so much more comfortable. I slept in his brothers old room which was nice because I had my own potty!!!
-Sunday: Tried buscuits and gravy for the 1st time... conclusion... uuuh ill stick with honey on my buscuits lol. Went to Norfolk to go to the mall which was huuuuge! Then Zach drove me around Norfolk and all over to show me a whole bunch of places. Looked at some huge houses that I wanted lol. Then headed back so that we could watch the eagles game with the family. Got to meet the brother and his gf. Jason is... crazy. His mom was like omg im so sorry, eh i have 4 uncles doesnt bother me. That night I got to look at all the baby/growing up pics. he was soo freaking cute as a little kid.
Monday: Went to north carolina to go to Kitty Hawk and the beach. Loved it. Can I tell you I never thought I'd meet a guy who loves history as much as I do? And who actually knows more about the civil war? its intense. The beach was gorgeous. We took our shoes off and walked in the sand. It was perfect, 70 degrees and I was just so happy. I even collected seashells lol. That night the fam and I went to Norfolk to go look at the lights think... festival of lights. It was so cute. I love his family it's official.
Tuesday: Went to RIchmond because i really really really wanted to see the museum of the confederacy. Amazing!! omg they had sooo much stuff like jackets and pens and canteens and flags and omg it wa samazing!!! i loved it. I mean what other man do you kow would get excited to see general lee's jacket? oh yeah just mine! We also saw the white house while we were down there. Talk about getting chills, i mean we saw all these things that belonged to jefferson davis. After Richmond we went to Petersburg.. think battle of the crater.. if you saw cold mountain.. it was the battle at the beginning of that movie. Intense right? I loved that! the civil war doesnt get old.
Went to dinner with the family at an ok seafood restaurant. The ride in the car was more fun. The whole famly is so outgoing.
Wed: SPend the day with zach in bed. Woke up really early.. like 930. I couldnt sleep WHy waste time sleeping? I loved just laying with him and talking. He just so comfortable and I adore him. Can I just tell you that his mom came home to say goodbye to me and his dad met us atthe airport. It was so hard to keep from crying. At the airport Zach sat with me for 1/2 hr. jyst talking. i tried not to cry but I couldnt, i cried... for like 1 hr ... poor man sitting next to me. At least the guy on the flight was cool. his name was jake and he was in the navy going home to see his girl. We talked the whole ride and he kept me calm. Those are the people you meet briefly in life that help you along the way.
Overall amazing trip. Sorry about the over adoration of zach but im really happy :)
