i feel like men always think that they can decide whether or not a woman can have an abortion

South Dakota has passed a bill banning abortion unless the mother's life is in danger. It makes no exception for rape or incest. The governor says he is inclined to sign it.
I want to see billboards going up that show a pregnant 12-year-old with the headline "Please don't make me bear my stepfather's baby."
I want to see billboards with a 22-year-old woman with black eyes and split lips and abrasions on her cheeks, and the headline "Please don't make me bear my rapist's baby."
I want to see billboards with a 16-year-old girl holding a textbook in front of her belly, and the headline "Please don't make me drop out of school."
I want to see billboards with a 34-year-old woman with dishwater hands saying "If I can't work, my other three kids can't eat."
It's time we got the abortion debate out of "is it a child or is it a fetus" and "is it a child or is it a choice"--where the anti-choice lobby will always win on emotional grounds--and move it into "an unwanted pregnancy ruins lives" and "nobody should have to carry their rapist's baby", where the pro-woman lobby has a chance.
Permission granted to link freely, reproduce at will in any medium, promote to anyone...anything at all as long as you (1) promote the right to a safe, legal, affordable abortion, and (2) spend any money you make in promoting the right to a safe, legal, affordable abortion.
yeah i read this and def needed to post it. people need to learn that abortion, though not a means of birth control is a necessary evil. sorry all you pro-lifers.
