Where Is My Mind?*

First off and without even a single one of the ten million exclamation marks I want to scatter all around this sentence: nu_breed  turned Come Crashing In (Bradley/Colin, NC-17) into a podfic, and it is gorgeous. Just, God, her reading and her voice are absolutely lovely, and it makes the story sound so beautiful. I’m kind of in awe and a bit incoherent. It’s the first podfic anyone’s done to a story of mine, and it’s possible I’m even more amazed because I’m a non-native speaker and thus couldn’t even do this if I wanted to, but really, just, yeah. Pink sparkly hearts. Unicorns.

Also, I did sign up for paperlegends aka Merlin Big Bang - 30 000 word minimum! How am I supposed to resist?!

(Maybe a better question would be: How can I be so stupid when I also started writing the H50 agent/handler fic and probably won’t be able to keep it under 25 000 words?! I started recruiting songs for a soundtrack; that's always a problematic sign.)

To make this post a tiny bit less self-centered (sorry, people - this is what happens when I have no time whatsoever for fandom and thus don’t have a clue what’s going on and am totally behind replying to comments and feel completely lost and out of the loop), here, allow me to rec the only story I managed to read this week. Fortunately, it was a wonderful story:

Lost at the Edge of the Sun by james (H50, Danny/Steve)
Danny in this is heart-breaking and proud, and it's lovely how the team, and particularly Steve, wears him down. Team love!
>> Living in Hawai'i is expensive, especially when you're still paying a mortgage on a house back in Jersey. When things get to be too much, Danny has to make a hard decision. The hardest part is keeping the rest of the team from finding out that he's homeless.<<

*The only answer to this is, obviously: Way out in the water, see it swimming.
