Fic: Walking In Your Landscape (Arthur/Merlin, R)

After the Circus AU, I didn’t want to start another epic project just yet. inderpal suggested I write an explanation for Arthur’s recent behaviour towards Merlin. This is it.

It's more or less set after the first two episodes of Season 2 (very vague spoilers!), with the exception that I’m completely ignoring the Arthur/Gwen sexual tension - not ( Read more... )

*groan* I've already had that warning - I eat too many lovely sweet thingies and drink too much coke. *sulk* Ah well. I'm only morbidly obese on the inside.

Look! More coherent now! Loved most Merlin putting everything together and being all persistant. *g*

I must say that it's become part of my personal canon since the thought occurred to me. After all, Arthur must have been wondering about Merlin's disappearance, especially after that last conversation between them...

Thank you! *g*

That was cute. Loved that Merlin finally confronted Arthur in the bath of all places. Hee!

Merlin has a great sense of occasion, and Arthur being in the bathtub seemed like the perfect moment. *g*

This was awesome! I never thought about how Arthur would react to Merlin leaving, but of course he would be angry, particularly since Merlin couldn't tell him where he went. Perfect explanation for Arthur's behavior, and love the ultimate confrontation.

As to typos, I think you mean "stoking the fire" rather than "stocking" and "not an easy feat" instead of "feet."

We never saw how Merlin and Gaius returned, but I think they must have been a way for a while. And especially with that last, strange conversation they had, I think Arthur must have been wondering. (And in my head, he was quite angry at himself for caring so much, so when Merlin returned, part of that anger translated to Merlin. My head is a lovely place to be, sometimes.)

Thank you for pointing out those typos! Very much so! Have fixed them.
