First things first: MERLIN ON THE 19th!!! It’s been confirmed several times by BBC reps now, so, yeah. It’s looking good. Also, the
trailer and the advance screening reports sound delicious. I am incredibly jealous of everyone who had the chance to attend the premiere, and glad they had such a good time. Because it means we’ll have a good time, too!
Also, it has been brought to my attention that I’m a coffee snob. It has also been pointed out to me that I have a tendency to include shiny, expensive coffee machines in my stories, that my characters drink espresso and bitch about Starbucks. There, uh. Might be some truth to it. If I did a search, it’s very possible that about 90% of my stories include coffee.
But then, coffee is awesome! I’m not talking the murky dishwater served at meetings, here; no, I’m talking about espresso with a delicious crema, about cappuccino with fine pored milk foam that you can lick off your spoon before getting to the hot, beige source of caffeine hidden underneath. If I have to have an addiction (and doesn’t everyone have some sort of addiction?), then coffee seems like a good one to me. In celebration of it, I’ll bring you this video - although that might just falsify my words. Oh well. Look, I don’t even need others to prove that I’m on the wrong track! Maybe.
Oh, and here’s something I entirely forgot:
inderpal made me watch Star Trek. And dude. Dude.
Stark Trek, for me, used to be this weird series featuring badly dressed people of no particular attraction, with awful costumes, and for reasons I never understood, two friends of mine had huge twin crushes on Spock. This movie, though? Well, it’s fun! They’re still badly dressed, but at least the clothes don’t make them look like cartoon characters, and they’re actually attractive and the story isn’t half-bad. Also, Spock/Kirk. I can see it. Oh yeah, I totally can. Bickering all the way while saving one another from harm, there is clearly nothing I don’t approve of.
Wait, now what does that remind me of? Hrm…
(Oops. I thought I'd cross-posted this to LJ and DW, but apparently I didn't. Which is not much of a surprise, given my username change here - of course that would make the cross-poster despair.
Also. I exceeded my Photobucket bandwidth? Huh.)
