with Spencer and me…”

“Spencer and I.”
This made me grin, because Brendon is wrong, but I know so many people who make that same correction. :o)

Oh, Brendon. Why do you want to break my heart?

You know the best thing about the conflicts and problems in these realtionships (Brendon/Ryan, Jon & Brendon)? There is no one who's wholly at fault. No big pile of blame to drop on someone. Jon lied to Brendon, but he did it out of good intentions, and it's a lie that wasn't hurting anyone. I think most of us can sympathize with that. But it never feels good to be lied to, and it feels terrible to suspect your friends of pitying you, so Brendon's feelings are understandable. And then with Ryan ... while I ached for Brendon when he figured out what was going on at the club, I hurt for Ryan, too. He's so clearly caught offguard, with no idea of how to fix things.

It's all a mess, which is lovely for the story and which makes me sigh at the screen, waiting for everyone to get to a point where they can talk things out.

The descriptions in the last section here, with Brendon in Ryan's apartment, just kill me. They're so physical.
