Fic: I put a spell on you (because you're mine)

On Saturday morning, Jared woke up earlier than Jensen for the first time. He slipped out of bed and put the coffee on to brew and then allowed himself to panic a little about how Jensen was going to react to Jared having basically put him to sleep the previous night.  When the coffee finished percolating, he made two cups and took them back ( Read more... )

This was really fun! I'm always a sucker for soulmate stories. I enjoyed the use of magic in this world, and also Jensen's struggle to acknowledge that he has more hangups about magic than he thought he did. The reveal of how important their families are to their respective sides was great.

This was so much fun to read. So much potential for major angst, but it just refused to come out - which makes me very happy and smile wide.
I loved the lightness of this, the "well... shit, we're bonded and it hurts, but how about some lemonade now?" :-D

Thanks for the fun read :-)

Thank you! Yes, there sure was potential for major angst, but despite some of the serious themes I did think it came across pretty upbeat, so nice to have that confirmed. I think the boys were just too busy falling madly in love (and lust) to worry about all the angsty stuff!
So glad you had fun reading it! :)

Truly enjoyable read - loved the way magic was a part of this world and the very real prejudices with which they were faced. The importance of their families within the different belief systems was such a fun reveal. Packed a lot of punch with crisp writing and plotting. Thank you for sharing your talents - loved loved loved it!!!.

Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun with the world-building here... not so different to our own world really, just factoring in the existence of people who can do magic and extrapolating how the prejudices and systemic anti-magic-ism would fall into place! So happy that you enjoyed it! ♥
